Five years in England
Today marked the fifth year since I crossed la Manche and moved to the United Kingdom.
Since then, I got a PhD, I got a job at one of the top universities in the world, and I met and worked with some of the brightest minds around.
Since then, a lot has changed. Personal and World events went by, priorities shifted, big steps were taken by everyone, while other things stood still.
When you keep moving, either physically or intellectually, I learned that you need some solid rocks to hang on to during rough times.
And I learned that solid rocks are often simply there, one just needs to be able to see them.
